The actual meaning

"Perfect" Bodies

When we think of what "perfect" means, we think of a lack of flaws, i.e. skin with no scars, bodies that replicate an hourglass, and everything else that could possibly resemble a barbie. We think of models who are thin and shaped small, or athletes who appear to be carved from the Gods. This has always been the expectation of perfect; what we have been set up to believe, anyway.

But that isn't it.

Perfection is about

being desirable and being the best that you individually can be.

We shouldn't expect one person's attributes to be the exact same as another, because we were all made to be unique.

Our characteristics shape us - and sometimes those look like scars, stretch marks, or more curve to your body.

Our differences are attractive because they are different.

The biggest wrong

that we have been faced with is the commitment to making others who don't have the expected forms, feel as though they have a lack of power in this world.

We've all heard the quote, "power comes with great responsibility" from the great Ben Parker - and it's sooo true. That power just doesn't come from having an hourglass body, perfect boobs, or abs.

It comes from a place of being a good soul and taking the initiative to change the world and their perspective.

To wake them up.

Our bodies are meant

to be so much more than a beauty contest. They were uniquely shaped to be homes for our souls. Places of protection that keep us safe until it is time to move on to the next life - whatever that may be. And that should be enough, shouldn't it?

It shouldn't be about shaming the forms that have housed us. It should never have gotten this far.

We should be enough.

And we are enough.

As much as we are knocked down and told to do better - be better - we still get up and authentically live as we are. We still carry the weight of our souls and live this life until it is on to the next. We still wake up every single day, and even though the fight continues on internally for 90% us, we still get through.

And for those of us who have lost the fight, they make me want to fight even harder to make a change.

YOU ARE ENOUGH.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
